Why doesn't my download start when I click on it? Aren't they free to download?
Yes. All the device drivers on this web site are free to download. However, the device drivers are "hosted" on a server that is EXTREMELY BUSY, sometimes it is full. This is because many of the device drivers on this web site can NOT be found anywhere else on the web, quite possibly even in the world! Because this server is so busy, if we allowed everyone to download all they wanted as fast as they wanted, we would lose even MORE money than we already would without the user limitations that we have set. We know this for a FACT because we are still in the red from when we did not set any limitations in the past. Only one downloading connection per household or business can be made at one time, so if you choose to donate, your one connection will be up to 20 times faster than if you do not donate.
If you receive an error message, or a "Could not be found" page after clicking on a link to download the device driver, this is most likely because the server is full. (Please note: remember that only one downloading connection per household or business can be made at one time) If the server is full, then you can still download your device driver immediately by making a donation and accessing your download through the "donors only" area of this site. While these types of programs can help speed up downloads from larger, more heavily funded internet web servers, it unfairly loads down our small device driver server by logging in repetitively, causing servers to think that it is sending the device driver download to multiple people, when its actually going to only one person. This is known as "hammering" a web server, and due to the unfairness of this practice, and our limited resources in the web server and bandwidth department, we block the use of such software. Some smarter "download helper" software will compensate and automatically adjust so that you can still download the device drivers like most normal downloaders, but some do not. GetRight is a popular application that does not, and while the administration of the web server doesn't condemn or praise its use, the use of GetRight is futile on this web server, and will only get you an error message.
